Plain-language summary: we collect as little as possible, we never sell your data, and we don't track you across the web. The detail is below — use the menu to jump around.
Overview
This policy explains how The Mavion Corporation ("Mavion," "we," "us") handles information when you visit tmc.gg. We build our services to collect as little personal data as possible, and we do not sell it.
The short version: essential cookies only, no advertising or cross-site tracking, no sale of personal information, and a zero-retention default across our infrastructure.
Information we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum:
- Preferences. Your cookie choice is stored in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again. It never leaves your device.
- Messages you send us. If you email us or contact us on Discord, we receive whatever you choose to share (such as your name and email) so we can reply.
- Basic request logs. Like any website, our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address and browser type to keep the service secure and reliable.
We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not build behavioural profiles of visitors.
How we use information
We use the limited information above to operate and secure the site, respond to enquiries, review job applications, and understand aggregate, non-identifying usage so we can improve. Where the law requires a legal basis (for example under the GDPR), we rely on your consent for any non-essential cookies (currently none) and our legitimate interest in running a secure, functional website for everything else.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies and local storage. You can review the detail and change your choice at any time on our Cookie Policy.
Third parties & processors
Some parts of the site rely on trusted third parties, which receive only what's needed to function:
- Hosting & delivery. Our site is served by a cloud hosting provider that processes technical request data on our behalf.
- Google Fonts. Our body typeface is served by Google; your browser requests it from Google. Our headline serif is self-hosted, so it never touches a third party.
- Careers listings. Our Careers page loads open roles from a Mavion API on mavion.tmc.gg.
- Discord & YouTube. These host our community and live broadcasts; visiting those links is subject to their own policies.
We do not sell personal information to, or share it for advertising with, any of these parties.
Data retention
We operate on a zero-retention principle: we don't store what we don't need. Correspondence is kept only as long as necessary to handle your request, and technical logs are held briefly for security before being discarded.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including HTTPS everywhere, hardened HTTP security headers, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we design our systems to minimise the data that could be exposed in the first place.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email tagnz@tmc.gg and we'll respond within a reasonable time and within any period required by law.
Your California privacy rights
The Mavion Corporation is based in California. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you specific rights over your personal information:
- Right to know — the categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected, the sources, the purpose, and any parties we share it with.
- Right to delete — request deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct — ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing — direct us not to sell or share your personal information.
- Right to limit sensitive information — restrict our use of sensitive personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months.
Because there is nothing to opt out of, we don't provide a separate "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism — but you may still contact us with any request. In the last 12 months we may have collected "identifiers" (such as an email address, if you contact us) and "internet or network activity" (standard technical logs), used only to operate and secure the site and respond to you. To exercise your rights, email tagnz@tmc.gg with "California privacy request" in the subject; you may use an authorized agent. California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code § 1798.83) also lets residents ask about disclosures for third-party direct marketing — we make none.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
tmc.gg is a general-audience corporate website and is not directed to children. In line with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not create accounts for or target them.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us personal information, email tagnz@tmc.gg and we will verify and delete it promptly.
If we ever learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it as quickly as possible. For teenagers, some regions provide additional protections for users under 16 or 18; where those apply, we honour them.
International users
We operate from the United States, and information we process may be handled there. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR — including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection — and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at tagnz@tmc.gg.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above, and where required by law we'll provide additional notice.
